The ideal candidate will have demonstrated technical leadership in spectroscopy, strong verbal and written communication skills. The candidate will be motivated with a passion to grow territories and is able to work in ambiguous situations with limited supervision and be a fast & agile learner.
Your key job functions as Sales Specialist are:
- Taking advantage of a given territory and creating new business
- Having a self-starter mentality, ambitious with your goals for the territory
- Attending and presenting products at trade shows and exhibitions
- Understanding of handheld and laboratory NIR and Raman spectrometers
- Providing feedback to product development about the needs of our customers
Education & Experience
- M.S. in a physical or biological science, engineering, or related field AND 2+ years' experience in industry or teaching
- B.S. in a physical or biological science, engineering, or related field AND 5+ years' experience in industry or teaching
- Raman technical expertise preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Works well with others on shared projects such as marketers, analysts, and engineers
- Independently motivated to meet deadlines and manage project timelines
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% to trade shows, customer sites, and regional offices for up to two weeks contiguously
