Summary:
The chosen applicant will also take part in the development of the automation strategy and direct the tactical execution of HTPD laboratory automation projects, which include the development of analytical methods, processes, and drug product formulation testing. Work with vendors, stakeholders, and counterparts in process development to build, manage the life cycle of, and continuously enhance automated processes will make up the majority of the role's remaining duties. The applicant should have background in automating laboratories and developing processes, including working with robotic liquid handling.
Responsibilities:
- Develop throughput models to scale automation solutions appropriately to meet the expanding needs of the business.
- Participate in automation strategy and oversee the implementation of a portfolio of high throughput downstream process development (HTPD) projects.
- Constantly enhance existing automation platforms to increase efficiency.
- Assist in the practical design and implementation of certain robotic systems in accordance with end-user specifications, creating automated workflows with automation vendors and functional area stakeholders.
- Develop and carry out high throughput screens for process optimization in downstream processes.
- Identify and implement operational improvements and novel technologies to improve AAV downstream processes.
Qualifications:
- It is necessary to have extensive experience creating and maintaining robotic systems and liquid handlers, namely Tecan, Hamilton, or Beckman liquid automatic handling workstations.
- It is preferred that high throughput process development workflows, including one or more of the following: chromatography screening, formulation screening, analytical high throughput screening, cell culture development, cell line development, and/or assay automation, be successfully designed and implemented.
