Position Summary
The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will be a field-based, external customer-facing member of our therapeutic area medical unit. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and disseminating scientific data related to our Epilepsy portfolio. Your primary focus will be on building strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) across the Midwest region (including Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and Wisconsin).
Key Responsibilities
1. KOL Engagement:
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with KOLs and HCPs aligned with individual territory plans.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of our Epilepsy products, competitor landscape, and therapeutic area.
- Communicate complex scientific information to KOLs/HCPs in a compliant, fair-balanced, and non-misleading manner.
2. Research Support:
- Assist with Takeda-sponsored research initiatives and facilitate strategically aligned medical collaborative studies.
- Stay informed about key intelligence topics and collect insights from KOLs/HCPs to refine medical strategies.
3. Partnership Building:
- Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and US Medical.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance medical strategy.
4. Medical Conferences:
- Participate in executing medical strategy at conferences (e.g., staff medical booths, attend sessions, interact with KOLs/HCPs).
Qualifications
- Advanced Degree: PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous MSL experience in Neurology is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Travel: Ability to travel within the Midwest territory as needed.
