Position Overview: Seeking a talented Senior Development Engineer (Medical Laser Specialist) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development of cutting-edge medical laser systems, contributing to our mission of providing innovative, safe, and reliable products to the global medical community.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct error analysis and correction during the development processes
- Design medical laser systems, focusing on optical adjustment and characterisation
- Perform performance tests of complete medical devices
- Evaluate cooling technologies for integration into laser products
- Report progress of development results
- Collaborate closely with other departments within the development team
- Support external research projects in line with set objectives
- Stay informed about trends in optical technologies
- Review and analyse patents and scientific literature
- Generate suggestions for new product ideas and functions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as physics, electrical/mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience in the research and development of laser components.
- In-depth knowledge and technical understanding of laser technology, optics, and opto-mechanical setups.
- Familiarity with solid-state lasers, encompassing flash lamp and diode-pumped technologies.
- Experience in the design of medical devices and analog electronic circuits.
- Strong laboratory skills with a genuine passion for hands-on work.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team, coupled with creativity and effective communication skills.
- Proficient in both written and oral English.
- Knowledge of standards within the health care industry.
- Desirable: Prior experience in embedded software development.
