Title: Research Laboratory Manager
Compensation Package: $90,000 - $110,000 w/ Annual Bonus & Company Equity
Location: Greater San Fran Area
EPM is currently representing an innovative Biotech startup company that is seeking a Laboratory manager to help run their pre-clinical research division. This is an advanced scientific team that is on a mission to create effective and unique treatments for various inflammatory diseases. This team already has a leading drug candidate in Phase II Clinical Trials and are finding great results to succeed in this market, and for the rest of their pipeline.
The laboratory manager will be reporting into the Director of Pre-Clinical Discovery. You will be coordinating with her to run the laboratory and some of the other scientific-based experiments. This is an essential role for the team that will have you working very closely with other cross-functional groups, allowing yourself to be exposed to all aspects of the drug discovery process.
The ideal candidate for this role is someone that is familiar with the standard molecular biology techniques (PCR, ELISA, Cell Culturing) and an ambition to work in drug discovery. (You will be expected to run ELISA, or other protein-based assays, independently to assist other scientific staff and promote discovery targets.) But most importantly , the team is looking for an independent, yet hard-working, person. You will be in a high-paced and dynamic environment. And even though this is a biotech startup company, you will have a great work-life balance (as the team is very supportive of their employees on having time outside of their work).
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science in scientific discipline
- At least 5+ years of laboratory experience, either from an academic setting or an industry setting
- Experience with PCR, qRT-PCR, Cell culturing, and ELISA
- Experience with lab inventory and general maintenance is ideal.
- ANY experience working in drug discovery is a huge plus
