Title: Research Associate
Type: 6-Month Contract with Conversion Possibilities

About:
A up and coming brain health diagnostics company located in Southern California is looking for a Research Associate. Specifically, they are looking for a team member with expertise in immunoassay design, implementation, and validation. This position will allow the candidate to join a startup with a commitment to advancing brain health. They will work directly with the company founder and corporate partners to develop a novel immunoassay to measure brain health. This position is also happy to offer flexible hours and competitive salary options.
Expectations:
- Focus on assay design, data analysis, validation testing, and database architecture
- Validate prototype immunoassay using recombinant proteins and human biospecimens
- Establish a manufacturing protocol to build diagnostic kits at scale
- Process, analyze and organize data sets
- Maintain laboratory notebook and accurate records of daily experiments]
- Assist in general upkeep of laboratory and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications and Experience
- Must have prior experience in BSL2 lab environment
- Demonstrated experience in human biospecimen handling
- Demonstrated experience in immunoassay design and analysis
- Ability to quickly learn new techniques, instruments, software, and assays
- Familiarity with GMP and working with SOPs is a plus
Educational Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Immunology, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or related field
