Job opportunity with a top biopharmaceutical company that is looking for a Senior Buyer to join their team on a 12-month contract with a possibility for conversion or extension!

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in purchasing/commodity management
- Minimum 3 years working in a highly regulated environment preferred. Working with purchasing/commodity mgt. software.
- Experience negotiating terms and purchasing agreements.
- Ability to travel approximately 10%, including internationally.
Job Description/Skills:
- Plans and schedules deliveries to optimize inventories in support of holding level strategies and business demands by working with forecasting data/teams, planning teams, commodity teams and shipping/receiving teams.
- Strong understanding of current MRP/ERP, purchasing, planning, inventory management and production principles. Manages material requirements planning parameters and safety stock for operational components within SAP system.
- Creates and maintains mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers to foster supply continuity, process understanding, continuous improvement, and transparency. Negotiate externally with suppliers on due dates and volume expectations
- Performs as purchasing subject matter expert for internal and external customers due to extensive knowledge of purchasing and product line operations. Will analyze, plan, and execute to planning scenarios.
