Job Description
A top, mid-sized, rapidly growing pharmaceuticals company is seeking a Senior Manager, Channel Data Analytics & Operations. This is a vital role that position contributes to the delivery of data and analytics for the Trade and Distribution, Specialty Pharmacy team, Payer Team within Managed Access function.
Responsibilities:
- Analytics & Data Management - capability to support and manage data aggregator services with business management requirements and ability to analyze a wide variety of data
- Help the Market Access Department's operational capabilities roadmap specific to trade data, business case development, cross functional data integration, cross functional projects, and the ability to turn around crucial account management team requests
- Create relationships with key cross-functional partners including Business Information and Commercial Operations, Accounting & Finance, and Patient Care
- Develop and sustain a close relationship with the Specialty Pharmacy team to identify any changes in the marketplace, contract issues or changes in distribution strategy
- Support key trade data vendor relationships including ValueCentric & IQVIA
- Responsible for regular Wholesaler & Distributor data collection, quality, and reporting for data requests from internal Vertex Stakeholders
- Efficiently implement the monitoring of Trade account level data and provide account managers with insight to shape overall business strategies
- Interface with Channel Partners and Vendors to enhance the quality of trade data assets and analytics
- Construct scorecards of new data assets and other contractual terms, reconcile data fees, manage data restatements, and engage directly with Channel partners as needed to resolve issues and disputes

- Lead the inventory models and sales reports in support of the Trade and Distribution and Accounting teams
- Work with GIS (IT and/or external vendor) to build the infrastructure and tools to support complex analytics, inventory forecast model and reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's and 6 years of analytical/pharmaceutical experience, or equivalent OR advanced degree with 5 years in an analytical field
- Ability to mine data to identify trends
- Exceptional in conducting complex data analytics, attention to detail and technical data skills
- Ability to synthesize complex business questions and perform quantitative analysis to identify implications
- Expert skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
- Ability to communicate confidently and clearly to senior leaders on multifaceted market access and pricing drivers, including excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with pharma and managed markets data sources (including 852 & 867 data, IQVIA SPDI, Symphony Health, MMIT & DRG Managed Markets)
- Expert knowledge of SQL and other advanced analytics tools/software such as SAS (SAS Base) or any other scripting language such as Python
- Knowledge and/or user experience in financial systems is a plus (Oracle, Hyperion etc.)
