Automation Service Specialist Benelux & South

Currently we are supporting a Global Life Sciences Company which is providing new solutions to transform human health. The clients customers undertake life-saving activities ranging from fundamental biological research to developing innovative vaccines, new medicines, and cell and gene therapies. Working on challenges that truly matter with people that care for each other, our customers, and their patients with associates across 40 countries.
Essential Job Functions:
*Play a leading role for standalone and FlexFactory projects to be key service expert for automation (WonderWare, DeltaV, PlantPAX, Siemens, Rockwell etc) by providing support with Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test, Installation, commissioning, validation/IQOQ, troubleshooting and warranty and post-warranty service of automation HW/SW.
*Work autonomously to implementation, upgrade, integrate customer solutions and testing of the SW & HW solutions/fixes, support in the development, programming, verification, and delivery of process automation systems fixes in the field and ability to develop simple approaches to solve complex problems.
*Provide leadership and technical direction as well as efficient and cost-effective support to field and customers. Support wider service team in enhancing customer support related to automation troubleshooting at the system-level as well as planned commissioning and maintenance.
*Work with cross-functional teams to develop automation training, documentation, procedures, manuals. Train, teach and assist other Engineers on advanced/complex troubleshooting and technical fixes for automation software and hardware.
*Collect and analyze customer needs. Able to identify, build proposal and implement solution and able to articulate the solution during the discussion with customers as well as internally.
*Willing and able to develop expertise on the Hardware (Upstream & Downstream process system) itself to develop a deeper understanding of the equipment and work in the field.
*Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs, internal service records and perform documentation updates within the quality systems.
*Scope is Benelux and South Europe, Ability to travel across Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain and The Netherlands is essential.
Education:
*Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation and Control Engineering or related technological field.
*Working experience in Automation and Control Engineering field, preferable with Wonderware or DeltaV platform is a plus.
*Experience with Control system HW & SW, expertise with programming, troubleshooting and operational knowledge for PLC/SCADA/DCS platforms, as well as device level expertise.
*Expertise on Automation system development, programming, configuration, Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test, commissioning, installation, Validation/IQOQ, warranty and post-warranty service.
*Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (P&IDs, schematics, loop sheets, manuals, etc.)
*Knowledge with RS232, RS485, OPC, Profibus, EthernetIP, Networking, Unicorn, SQL DB and IT related advanced programming. Ability to use and interpret results of tools designed to troubleshoot networks such as ProfiTrace and Ethernet testers as well as other automation related tools.
*Project management skills including the ability to adapt communication to the audience
*English is mandatory
