Associate Director Process Chemistry for Leading Biotech Organization

A leading public Biotech is experiencing exceptional growth as they have recently began partnering with some large players in the industry. This position is a key figure meant to work across their multidisciplinary team in the Bay area with a major focus on CMC and Process Chemistry, and is ideally suited for a candidate with long term growth in mind.
The AD Process Chemistry will have the following Responsibilities:
* Work cross-functionally to support drug discovery, IND-enabling studies, CMC IND filing, and GMP API manufacturing and supply teams
* Lead the process chemistry team in facilitating medicinal chemistry research by troubleshooting problems with active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and streamlining SAR.
* Accountable for the development and implementation of phase appropriate processes to successfully deliver preclinical and clinical API batches
* Perform vendor review and selection, in addition to management of process development and manufacturing activities at CMOs
The Ideal Candidate will have the following skill set:
* Ph.D. or Masters in Organic Chemistry or related field
* 7+ years in industry experience in drug discovery and development
* Subject Matter Expert in Process Development, GMP Manufacturing, CMO Management, and Solid-State Characterization
* Exceptional time management and problem-solving abilities
