Qualifications:
- Medical Publishing operational experience required
- Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech business
- Experience operationalizing a Publications SOP
- Experience leading compliance monitoring and participation in publication audits
- Knowledge of Datavision publication management software
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Bachelors level degree
Role and Responsibilities:
The Medical Communications Associate Director will collaborate with the Medical communications Team to execute publications plans for pipeline molecules and marketed products. This role is operational.
- Leads publication review, internal and external publication communication, publication process management, compliance management, Datavision management, budget tracking, and vendor management
- Leads operational publication development activities including Datavision dispatch for projects without vendor support, quality control, per project Datavision set-up and finalization, compliance documentation, and project tracking
- Leads operational review of non-company driven publications including coordination, dispatch; adjudication, record keeping, monitoring for compliant recording of publications activities per publication process and policy, and training for those who assist with these activities
- Leads communication of publication activities to department and cross-functional partners including compiling and distributing executive summaries of active publications and key publication activities
- Leads compliance monitoring including assessment of process outliers
- Manages Datavision including updates and configuration changes as needed
- Coordinates budget tracking
- Coordinates global compound bibliography and repository with the librarian
- Manages publication and writing vendors as needed
- Understands the evolving Medical publications landscape through engagement with and participation in professional societies
